Me & BMXing
My name is Jensen Hull and I started BMXing in April 2011 when I was 6 years old. I live just around the corner from the Preston Pirates BMX Track and my Daddy took me to the track one Saturday afternoon to have a ride round on my bike. When we were there a boy from the club told my Daddy about the coaching and gate practices run by the club on Saturdays and Tuesdays.
I started going to the track on Saturdays and Tuesdays and borrowed a bike, helmet and gloves from the club. After a few weeks my Daddy bought me a second hand BMX racing bike, a racing suit, a helmet and some gloves.
My bike is a Baby Blue SE Mini Ripper and I love it. You can read all about my bike and all the new bits my Daddy has bought for it on My Bike page.
I love BMXing and I raced as a Novice throughout 2011 and did really well. I have now moved up to expert level and I plan to do as many National and Regional Races as possible this year. The World Championships are being held in the UK in May 2012 in Birmingham and I am currently training really hard in preparation for the National races and trying to get qualified to race at the Worlds.
I love all aspects of BMXing but I especially love to jump and manual around the track. It took me a while to learn to jump and manual but I never gave up, I used to drive my Mummy and Daddy mad staying for hours after training trying to master the techniques.
